A place where the youth come for educational services, mentoring and they are given an opportunity to grow and realize their inner strengths. Also to develop them into the leaders that they were born to be and understand what it is to become someone that can change their own lives and also influence their peers. Each will see that the real reward is not acquiring the knowledge and applying it but being able to give back. This is our story!

Our Friend: Eric Sanders
Good afternoon everyone. Today we have a youth by the name of Eric Sanders. He is 21 and from Bedstuy, Brooklyn. Currently he is living in Harlem at a shelter that was assigned to him by his parole. Two years ago Eric caught a gun charge and he served 2 and half years for it. Despite the bumps in the road that happened it did not slow his progress down. Eric is the oldest sibling in his family to whom he is a role model to his two younger sisters. To prove so, he is going to college and working towards being a electrician upon which one day he will successfully open his own business. Eric is also a father to his 2 year old son, which is why he so much focused on continuing school and starting his career. As of now he is not working but he remains occupied by following up on his appointments and continuously on the job search. In his free time if he is not spending time with his son he may be playing football to keep his mind and body busy. I asked Eric if he can change anything today what would it be and he responded saying, " Jobs would be the one thing I want to see because it isn't easy to obtain one" I also agree with him and I am confident that he will become successful in acquiring the things he needs to continue his journey.
