Hello to everyone! Today I'm here to report about one of our senior youth leaders Richard Cuevas. Rich arrived to friends in January 2008 after doing a 3 month bid. However Richard did not hear from friends from his counselors, legal aid or probation. A presentation from friends of island staff at his junior high school is how he was informed. Ever since Rich was interested in the organization. Currently Rich has a business plan in the making. He is now in a delegate district aid doing participatory budgeting where he is learning how to use funds to service the community. Among that he does freelance work to put honest dollars in his pocket so he can use it to put towards his career in marketing and branding. Richard is a man hard at work with a full schedule but he still makes time to be involved in community events. Recently he rallied in front of Time Warner in Brooklyn to stop them from taking the classic art channel of the air. Richard says his everyday goal is to take the knowledge he gains and apply it to his everyday life and he does just that.
