A place where the youth come for educational services, mentoring and they are given an opportunity to grow and realize their inner strengths. Also to develop them into the leaders that they were born to be and understand what it is to become someone that can change their own lives and also influence their peers. Each will see that the real reward is not acquiring the knowledge and applying it but being able to give back. This is our story!

Barack Obama on Sandy Hook shooting
On Friday, December 14, 2012, 20 children and 6 adults were murdered by Adam Lanza. A 20 year old young man who killed his mother prior to the school shooting at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Sandy Hook Connecticut. President Barack Obama gives a heart felt speech on the tragic situation that occurred. Here at Friends Of Island Academy we give our condolences, prayers and best wishes to all the families effected by this.
